- -Also means you need to delegate to these people (gets back to trust and checking your ego)
- -No. 1 piece of advice: be likable
- -Stay in shape – physical exercise keeps you sane and sharp
- -And always do bicep curls
- -How’d Steve get ahead?
- -Grinding
- -Soft skills
- -Like being likable
- -But also building trust – do what you say
- -Keep your ego in check
- -Your greatest opportunities are in “down markets” when everyone else is running for the hills
- -This is a life and investment skill
- -Means being disciplined when things are easy so you don’t over-extend
- -But it’s when everyone else is scared and in trouble that really big opportunities exist
- -This also means taking disadvantages (eg. Inexperience) and turning it into an asset
- -For example, Steve was able to use his inexperience to approach much more experienced, successful businessman who didn’t see him as a threat
- -When you’re after something, whether a job or money, remind yourself you don’t need them
- -Money is the most plentiful thing in the universe – it can literally be created from nothing
- -Approaching other people this way gives you a confidence and removes neediness
